This policy explains how TechStreamLine reports, writes and publishes news. It applies to every article on the site.
Accuracy first
We aim to be accurate before we are fast. When a story is still developing, we say so clearly and update the article as facts are confirmed.
Sourcing
- We prefer primary sources: official status pages, release notes, company blogs, support documents, regulatory filings and direct statements.
- For outages, we combine official status information with widely reported user problems, and we state which is which.
- We link to our sources wherever possible so readers can check them.
- Rumours, leaks and unverified reports are labelled as such and are never presented as fact.
- We do not use anonymous sources unless the information is important, cannot be obtained another way and has been checked by an editor.
Fact-checking
Before publication, an editor checks names, dates, version numbers, feature claims and figures against sources. Claims we cannot verify are removed or clearly marked as unconfirmed.
Updates and timestamps
Articles show the date they were published and, when changed, the date they were last updated. For live stories such as outages, we add timestamped updates so readers can see what changed and when.
Independence and conflicts of interest
- We do not accept payment, gifts or favours in exchange for coverage.
- Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say in our editorial decisions.
- Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will always be clearly labelled as sponsored.
- Affiliate links are disclosed as described in our Disclaimer.
Fairness
When we report problems with a product or service, we try to include the company’s response or official explanation. We avoid sensational headlines and write headlines that reflect what the article actually says.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI tools, to help with research, transcription or drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by a human editor before publication, and the editorial team is responsible for everything we publish.
Corrections
When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy.
